Welcome to Robot Rodeo!
|
Robot rodeo is a way to let robot designers show just how good their software really is. We propose a competition, in which all of the designers use the same predefined chassis, and put their smarts on board. These robots will then compete in rodeo style events, such as barrel racing and stock herding. (We haven't figured out bull riding yet, but I think we can manage cowboy poker)
The chassis is a Fisher-Price "Power Wheels", any model, with an unmodified power train and steering. Your challenge is to provide the intelligence to this chassis. This competition is all about the software.
The first competition will be held in the Front Range of Colorado in the Spring of 2006.
Please join us at our next meeting, to discuss technical issues, rules, and to introduce new teams.
Time: Saturday, May 13, 2006, starting at 9:00 am
Location:
SHARC Robotics Expo
